Join the Etc. Team

As an Etc. colleague, you will hear a lot about ONE Etc. – one group, five sites, hundreds of colleagues with one shared vision, underpinned by common values. Together, we want to make a difference to the communities around us, and our staff and students are empowered to do just that.

However, we need the right people, and to attract and retain the right people, we need to offer the right working environment, support and guidance and benefits and rewards. We think we do this really well, and 517 of our staff tell us we do in our annual staff survey:

Now you can join our Etc. Talent Pool by completing a short form and submitting your preferences, in line with GDPR legislation, – we will hold your details securely and whenever a new vacancy is released, a member of our team will check to see if you are a match – if so, we will be in touch to let you know and advise you on what you need to do next.

Staff Benefits and Rewards

We understand life has changed in recent years, and the way in which people want to work has also changed – whether this means flexing hours to meet family demands or attending a school sports day – we get it, staff benefits and reward are so much more than just the financial.

You can learn more about the full benefits of working with us by viewing the following:

Ofsted Oustanding!

‘It has been a pleasure. I have never been a part of an inspection of a provider who is so humble despite being so exceptional, you do the right things for your learners every day. It must be a joy to work here.’
–  Lead Ofsted Inspector

Ofsted rated Etc. as Outstanding for its overall effectiveness, quality of education, behaviours and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, education programmes for young people, adult learning programmes and provision for learners with high needs.

In the report, inspectors stated: “Learners and apprentices flourish across all parts of the group. They embrace the strong sense of belonging that they experience at all campuses. They feel valued and respected, regardless of their backgrounds.”

Furthermore, inspectors commented on the strength of relationships built with employers and stakeholders, helping to shape the curriculum to meet the skills priorities of the Tees valley. The report noted the “very clear vision” of the group’s leaders, both when it comes to creating a “highly inclusive, supportive and welcoming culture.”
