Work Experience
We partner with local employers to ensure that our full time 16-18 students across our different campuses are given opportunities to engage with employers to ensure that they are work ready by the time they have completed their study programme.
As an employer you could offer an employer project or work placements for students across a wide range of sectors to develop a workforce equipped with the skills your business needs.
Recent placements have taken place with many companies, schools and nurseries within the local area, these include NHS, Department of Education, Stockton Borough Council, Keepmoat, British Gas, British Steel, Materials Processing Institute, Porsche, Audi and Community Campus
What can you get involved in?
Employer-led Projects
These projects are set and ran by you this can either be within college or in the workplace. You will provide the students with a project brief and clear objectives and be on hand for students throughout the project to give feedback. Employer projects are a great way to provide multiple students an opportunity when a work placement may not be suitable for your organisation.
T Level Industry Placement
T Levels are a two year qualification for 16-18 year olds that combines 80% classroom based learning with 20% training through industry placement.
Industry placements are a shift from traditional work experience to a longer more structured placement in the workplace to develop real work skills and make a meaningful contribution to your organisation.
Students are required to complete a minimum 315 placement hours and, depending on the sector, placements may be day release or a block placement.
We are currently offering T levels in the following areas:
- Early Years
- Health
- Engineering – Maintenance, Installation and Repair for Engineering and Manufacturing
- Gas Engineering
