Steve Lowe – Co-opted Governor

Profile:

Steve is a retired senior executive and experienced engineer who has many years of high-impact technical leadership experience. In addition to his role as a co-opted governor at Etc., he is a regular volunteer with local charities across Teesside. 

With a proven track record of steering complex, national portfolios in critical environments within both public and private sectors, Steve is a forward-thinking corporate leader who seamlessly bridges technical, boots-on-the-ground engineering delivery with high-level corporate strategy to maximise contract value, ensure strict regulatory compliance, and foster sustainable commercial growth.  

A key driver for Steve’s decision to join the Etc. board is his belief that learning and education in a safe and secure environment is integral to the future and aspirations of all our children, teenagers and young adults. After a successful career in industry, he wanted to contribute to the success of the college and its learners by giving something back.
